LEARN ABOUT PEYRONIE'S

Peyronie's disease (PD), is a progressive fibrotic disorder of a part of the penis. This condition causes a curvature in the penis and can make sexual intercourse difficult. PD is usually unknown cause and at times may be painful. This disease remains difficult to understand and treat with a variety of injectable and pharmaceutical treatment. Shockwave is one safe option that can be considered even with failure of medical intervention. You may ask your medical doctor or specialist if shockwave is appropriate treatment option for you.

Diagnosis

Your primary health care provider may be able to tell if you have Peyronie's disease with a physical exam. These plaques can often be identified when the penis is soft. Sometimes, to determine how the penis curves, specialists such as Urologists, will inject a drug into your penis to cause erection. In some instances, ultrasound is used to see where the plaque is, check for calcium buildup, and show how the blood flows in your penis. Once a diagnosis is made, you may be given treatment options such as injectable drugs, oral medication, surgery or shockwave therapy. Your Urologist or Medical Doctor may prescribe extracorpeal shockwave therapy. However, a doctors referral is not required to attend our clinic.
Progression
During the initial acute phase (6-18 months), the condition may progress, stabilize, or regress. For this reason non-invasive treatments are always recommended before surgical intervention.
Plaque Formation
Peyronie’s disease plaques can form on the top or side of the penis. The plaques make the tunica albuginea less flexible and may cause the penis to bend and curve with erections. Some men have more than one plaque and this can cause more complex curves.

Signs that you may have Peyronie's disease:
Bent/curved penis
Lumps in the penis
Painful erections
Softer erections
Decreased longevity of erections

SOUND WAVES BREAK DOWN SCAR TISSUE

Extracorpeal Focus Shockwave
FOCUS SOUND WAVES
Sound waves are applied to the penis above the plaque or scar tissue. The sound wave is able to help break down the adhesions and improve blood flow.
Radial Pressure Wave
REMOVE PLAQUE
The body is able to regenerate through increase in cellular activity. Blood flow is restored and improved to improve curvature with and without erections.
